Register for This Virtual Town Hall Featuring U.S. FTC Chair

The North American Hardware and Paint Association (NHPA) is one of several small business organizations that have signed on as co-hosts for a virtual town hall event highlighting industry efforts to rein in monopoly power and level the playing field for small independent businesses. The event is hosted by Small Business Rising, an advocacy group from the Institute for Local Self-Reliance.

On Monday, March 4 at 1 p.m. EST, the town hall will feature a conversation with U.S. Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan. Independent home improvement retailers are encouraged to attend the event.

In addition, Khan will join advocates and small businesses to provide a glimpse into today’s most important anti-monopoly actions, including the recent antitrust case filed by the FTC against Amazon to address the corporation’s monopoly on e-commerce. Attendees will also have a chance to submit questions for Khan to answer during the event.

Independent home improvement retailers are encouraged to register to join the nationwide conversation and to keep the momentum of addressing monopolies going.
