In two weeks, the reimagined National Hardware Show will kick of as NHS Concept to Commerce. NHS Concept to Commerce will be the only trade show in the home improvement industry uniting retailers, brands, manufacturers, distributors, inventors, private-label providers and global factories under one roof with one clear goal—to accelerate product discovery, strengthen manufacturing partnerships and speed up time to shelf, all while improving margins.
NHS Concept to Commerce is set to host impactful expert-led sessions covering the industry’s most talked about topics and practical application from leaders on the front lines of retail at the event’s Expert Talks Conference. As part of the Expert Talks Conference, the North American Hardware and Paint Association’s director of education and training Cody Goeppner will be presenting Private Label as a Weapon: From Supplier Selection to Shelf Domination.
In this session, attendees will explore how retailers can leverage private label and strategic sourcing to build stronger brands and smarter product strategies. From selecting the right OEM partners and modeling margins against national brands to understanding speed-to-market advantages and global sourcing opportunities, private label gives retailers greater control over both their assortment and the customer experience.
As part of the session, Goeppner will share data from retailers on the ways they are embracing private label to improve their operations, including what private label categories have been most successful, what factors are most important when selecting a supplier or manufacturing partner and the biggest challenges they have faced when developing or expanding private label products.
To enhance the session, we are gathering insights from independent retailers to better understand how private label and strategic sourcing are shaping merchandising and marketing strategies across the industry. Please help shape our research and this session by answering this short survey.
