Resources for Hiring Military Veterans

Launched earlier this year, the North American Hardware and Paint Association’s (NHPA) Helmets to Home Improvement program is dedicated to celebrating and recognizing industry veterans for their service to our country and their contributions to the independent home improvement channel. Each month throughout 2025, NHPA will highlight and honor a Helmets to Home Improvement honoree and share their story.

If you’re an independent home improvement retailer who is interested in hiring military veterans to work in your operation but aren’t sure where to start, NHPA has gathered these helpful resources to guide your hiring strategies.
