The Merit Distribution Group LLC announced the promotion of its current president, Geff Lynch, to CEO. Lynch will now be responsible for all aspects of Lancaster’s paint sundry distribution operation and the EJ Welch flooring businesses. A 38-year plus industry veteran, Lynch joined Lancaster after its acquisition of GMG Distributing, formerly based in San Leandro, California, where he held the role of VP of sales and marketing.

“Geff brings a wealth of experience, has great relationships throughout the paint, sundry and flooring industries and with his Merit associates and has a strong vision for the future of our organization,” says Merit Distribution Group chairman of the board Alexander Greene. “We are delighted he is taking on this new role.”

Lancaster and EJ Welch supply products to retailers throughout North America, South America and the Caribbean, from their 10 distribution centers and 15 branches in the U.S. and Canada.
