Lancaster completed its purchase of certain assets of Janco Chemical Corp., fulfilling the Letter of Intent signed between the two companies in June 2021.
Lancaster is one channel of the Merit Distribution Group, an Illinois corporation headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina, that also provides wholesale distribution through its Lancaster Canada, Merit Supply and E.J. Welch trade names. The company’s customers are located throughout the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Central and South America. Lancaster serves more than 10,000 customers through its seven regional distribution centers.

Founded in 1965, Janco Chemical Corp. is a wholesale distributor of paint related products serving California and Nevada. Janco services over 500 paint, lumber, hardware and home center retail locations with a strong emphasis on sprayer equipment.
