Johnson Paint Continues Expansion in Northeast

Johnson Paint | A Ring’s End Brand has stayed its course for growth, acquiring Wilmot’s Decorating Centers in Middleboro, Massachusetts, in May 2024 and announcing the opening of a new store in  Plymouth, Massachusetts. The Plymouth store will open October 2024 and be a part of The Grove shopping center.

“With our company’s roots on the Connecticut shoreline, we felt that Plymouth was an area where our knowledge and expertise would be especially relevant,” says Mike Burkhart, president and COO of Ring’s End says. “For over 120 years our vision to be the premier resource in the building supply industry has guided our strategic plans. We’re excited to bring our vision to Plymouth.”

With the latest expansions, Johnson’s Paint store will operate 14 locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine and the operation’s parent company, Ring’s End Inc.’s, will increase its total store count to 34 locations.

“The growth and development in Plymouth attracted us to the town. We want to be part of this growth not only from a supplier’s standpoint but from an employer’s,” says Scott Herling, vice president of paint operations for Ring’s End. “The economic impact of our company’s expansion into northern New England has been positive, creating new jobs that offer employee development and career growth. As our company grows, so too does the diversity of our workforce, another by-product we are proud of.”
