Florida Paints is making a difference in communities across Central Florida and beyond. Each year, the company brings hope to families in need, one diaper at a time, by contributing to HomeAid Orlando’s Builders for Babies diaper drive.

Florida Paints began working with HomeAid Orlando, a community organization dedicated to helping individuals experiencing or at risk for homelessness through construction, community engagement and education, five years ago.

“HomeAid Orlando’s mission fits perfectly with our desire to help our local communities and brighten the lives of everyone we serve,” says Santiago Quintero, director of marketing at Florida Paints.

In their fifth year contributing to the Builders for Babies campaign, Florida Paints stores collected diapers to donate to families in need across Central Florida. Florida Paints increases its fundraising goal each year, aiming to bring hope and support to local families. 

“Every year we are amazed by the support from our customers and team members,” Quintero says. “Year after year, we increase our goal to deliver as many diapers as we can, and we are proud to say that we have achieved that goal every year.”

The drive concluded with a “Wrap Up and Rally” community event hosted at Florida Paint’s Winter Garden location. Volunteers gathered together to package up diapers and celebrate the successful fundraiser with activities and community building.

This year, Florida Paints collected 180,000 of the 1 million diapers donated to the cause. Florida Paints also matched every dollar donated to the campaign, with every dollar equivalent to five diapers. 

For Quintero, the most memorable moments from this fundraiser were the ones shared with other teams also contributing to the cause.

“We work together with builder customers, potential customers and many other suppliers, and it is always amazing how regardless of whether we do business with each other, we can all come together for this amazing cause,” Quintero says. “Hearing the stories from the various benefit agencies about how these diapers make a huge impact in the community is extremely rewarding and fits perfectly with our mission.”
