In 2025 the industry expects to see shifts in home design trends as homeowners cater their spaces to their needs. One of these shifts will be the return of color as homeowners look to align their rooms to fit their personalities.
Fixr, an online home improvement resource, surveyed industry experts for its Interior Design and Color Trends Report 2025, which shares trends the industry can expect for the new year.
60% of experts say homeowners will integrate nature into their interior design projects.
Natural elements paired with interior environments make the connection between indoors and outdoors. Fixr’s
experts say nature-inspired color palettes have become increasingly popular with younger homeowners and see terracotta, deep greens and soft blues as trendy colors for 2025.
55% of experts say color-drenched rooms are the top color trend in 2025.
Color-drenching involves painting the walls, trim, cabinetry and ceilings the same color, creating a bold,
unified look. Incorporating the same color in all aspects of a room creates a bold look that will stand out from other rooms.
36% of experts say curves are a top interior design feature for 2025.
Curves are becoming more and more popular as homeowners move away from more rigid furniture and features. Rounded edges allow for more fluidity in home design, tying in with nature as they bring an organic feel to a space.
