Simple but highly effective, the cash register checklist at Triboro Paint Center has boosted add-on sales and added another layer of customer service to the operation, which has three stores in Warwick, Rhode Island, and North Attleborough and Foxboro, Massachusetts.
The checklist includes a comprehensive overview of many commonly overlooked add-on items. It is divided into five sections—protection, cleaning, preparation, application and other surfaces—so customers can easily see what items they may need based on the type of project they are working on. Suggested add-on products include drop cloths, gloves, scrapers, rags, putty knives and caulk.
