Sherwin-Williams recently announced the company will resume 401(k) matching contributions, effective Feb. 1, 2026.
The company also announced it will provide a discretionary make-up contribution designed to compensate for the pause, which happened between Oct. 1, 2025, and Jan. 31, 2026.
In an email to Sherwin-Williams’ employees, Heidi Petz, chair, president and CEO of Sherwin-Williams, credited employees for their enhanced work performance over the past four months before announcing the update.
“Your professionalism and focus have made a difference, and today I am pleased to share important positive news that reflects both your performance and our confidence in the future.”
Contributions will be viewable for employees on March 31, 2026.
