The Sherwin-Williams Company recently announced that it hosted a ceremonial ribbon-cutting celebrating the grand opening of the company’s new Morikis Global Technology Center, located in Brecksville, Ohio.

“This grand opening marks a bold step forward in how the Company innovates, performs and leads on the global stage and it’s located in our own backyard,” says Heidi G. Petz, Sherwin-Williams chair, president and chief executive officer. “Named in honor of our former CEO, John G. Morikis, this Technology Center is where the future of coatings comes to life. It brings together chemists, engineers, technicians and support teams in a world-class environment built to accelerate discovery, strengthen collaboration, drive productivity and solve real problems for our global customers.”

The new 600,000-square-foot campus, part of the company’s Building Our Future project, brings nearly 900 employees and more than 8,000 years of combined expertise together in a purpose-built environment designed to accelerate product development, coatings research, color technology and process engineering. The facility features multiple lab wings, modular research areas, work cafés and training spaces built to advance innovation while maximizing customer productivity and profitability.

Sherwin-Williams opened its new global headquarters in Cleveland in May.
